While in law school, he worked for the Civil Litigation Department of the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office, a national insurance defense law firm, and an international corporate transaction/litigation law firm. Upon graduating from law school, Mr. Granado became an associate with a nationally recognized law firm, spending a majority of his practice engaging in foreign and domestic business transactions, as well as handling real estate and business litigation. Over the course of his employment, Mr. Granado formed multiple foreign and domestic corporations, provided general counseling to many small to medium-sized corporations, successfully prepared Private Placement Offerings for start-up companies, and prepared and successfully completed numerous Mergers/Acquisitions, Buy-Sell Agreements, and commercial real estate land purchases and leases. In addition, Mr. Granado handled numerous litigation matters related to problematic corporate and commercial real estate transactions. After an enjoyable term of practice with his first law firm, Mr. Granado began working for a successful construction law firm located in Irvine, California, where he was able to focus his expertise on three areas of practice: business transactions (Mergers & Acquisitions and Securities), construction litigation and commercial real estate (purchase & leasing). In addition, Mr. Granado negotiated and litigated numerous agreements between developers and general contractors, as well as general contractors and subcontractors on behalf of the firm’s clients. Mr. Granado also negotiated and litigated several issues associated with shareholder disputes, involuntary corporate dissolutions, Buy-Sell Agreements, etc. Since leaving his tenure with his former employer, Mr. Granado became a founder of Granado Bland, APC. As a result, Mr. Granado has had the opportunity to capitalize on his knowledge gained from litigation and apply that knowledge to his continued complex corporate transactional practice.
